Sisra Multi-School
KS5 trust reports
The KS5 trust reports show level 3 value added, attainment and subject results for the whole trust, for each school and for groups of students. Trust leaders use them to compare sixth forms and to decide where to look more closely.
Where to find them: sign in to Sisra Multi-School and choose a report from the navigation bar on the left. Who can see them: every Multi-School user, if your trust has KS5 reports.
Choose what the report shows
Section titled “Choose what the report shows”The KS5 reports have the same controls as the KS4 trust reports, with two differences. Category takes the place of Subject, and lists performance cohorts such as A Level. KS5 reports have no benchmark and no DfE weighting.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cohort | The year group, such as the current year 13 or a leavers cohort |
| Data Collection | The term and grade type, such as year 13 term 1 predictions. The list shows only the collections a Juniper Admin has set to display |
| Filters | Narrows the report to a gender, disadvantage or SEN group, or to chosen schools |
| Report View | Trust Overview, Schools Overview or Pupil Characteristics Overview |
| Measure | The measures to show on the chart |
| Category | The performance cohorts to show, such as A Level and Academic |
| View Options | Show Charts and Show Tables |
From September to December, reports open on the most recent leavers cohort. From January to August, they open on the current year 13. They open on the data collection a Juniper Admin set as the default for that year group.
To filter, select Filters, tick the groups or schools you want and select Apply Filters. The SEN filter has SEN-E (EHC plan), SEN-K (SEN support), SEN-N (no special educational needs) and SEN-S (statement, a value from before EHC plans).
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Overview shows the trust’s headline figures for one cohort and data collection. Select View Report on a tile to open that measure’s own report.
| Tile | Headline figures | Chart | Table |
|---|---|---|---|
| Value Added | Average VA: the trust’s value added across all level 3 qualifications, to 2 decimal places | Value Added L3 Overall VA for the trust | Value added for each school, highest first |
| Level 3 Attainment | Pupils Included: the percentage of students with a grade in at least one approved level 3 qualification. APS per Entry: average points per entry | Level 3 Overall Average Points per Pupil and Level 3 Overall Average Points per Entry | Average points per entry for each school, highest first |
| AAB/Facilitating Subjects | Pupils Entered: the percentage of eligible students included in the AAB measure (at least grades AAB in three A levels). Then the percentages achieving AAB with two, and with three, facilitating subjects | Both AAB percentages for the trust | The two-subject AAB percentage for each school, highest first |
A value added score of 1.00 means students achieved, on average, one grade higher than students nationally with similar KS4 results. A score of -1.00 means one grade lower.
Value Added
Section titled “Value Added”| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Measure | Value Added, % Pupils included |
| Category | L3 Overall, A Level, Academic, Applied General |
Value added compares each student’s result with the results of students nationally with similar KS4 prior attainment. Scores are in grades, to 2 decimal places: 0.32 means about a third of a grade above similar students.
L3 Overall combines every level 3 qualification, weighting each by its size. It is not one of the DfE’s performance cohorts. Academic includes A levels.
% Pupils included is the share of students in the year group with at least one value added grade in that category, to 1 decimal place. Pupil Count is the number of students with a level 3 qualification.
Level 3 Attainment
Section titled “Level 3 Attainment”| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Measure | Average Points per Student, Average Points per Entry, % Pupils included |
| Category | L3 Overall, A Level, Best 3 A Levels, Academic, Applied General, Tech Level |
Average Points per Student divides the points for all qualifications by the number of students. Average Points per Entry divides them by the number of entries, counting larger qualifications as larger entries. The DfE’s headline attainment measure for 2025 to 2026 is average points per entry.
On the DfE’s 16 to 19 points scale (August 2026), an A level at grade A* is worth 60 points. Each grade below is worth 10 fewer: A 50, B 40, C 30, D 20 and E 10.
Best 3 A Levels covers students entered for at least one full A level. It adds the points for each student’s best three A levels, then divides by the number of students times 3. For example, three students with A*BB (140 points), AAB (140) and BBB (120) score 400 ÷ 9 = 44.44 points per entry. That is between a B (40) and an A (50).
AAB/Facilitating Subjects
Section titled “AAB/Facilitating Subjects”The AAB/Facilitating Subjects report shows how many students achieved at least grades AAB in three A levels. It gives two figures: at least two of those A levels in facilitating subjects, and all three. The DfE’s facilitating subjects are biology, chemistry, physics, maths, further maths, geography, history, English literature, and classical and modern languages.
Category has one choice, AAB Measures. % Pupils Included in AAB is the percentage of students eligible for the performance tables who are included in the measure. The two achievement percentages are of the students included, to 1 decimal place.
For example, if 120 students are eligible and 96 are included, % Pupils Included in AAB is 80.0%. If 31 of the 96 achieve AAB with two facilitating subjects, that is 32.3%. If 9 do so with three, that is 9.4%.
The DfE publishes its own AAB measure, with the same list of subjects, for 2025 to 2026.
Subjects
Section titled “Subjects”The Subjects report shows each subject’s grades and value added across the trust. Choose the view at the top of the page.
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| All Subjects | Every KS5 subject taught in the trust’s schools |
| Subjects - by Schools | One subject, school by school. Choose it in Select Subject, or select its name in All Subjects |
| Subjects - by Pupil Characteristics | One subject, group by group |
Subjects are grouped in one table for each grading scale, chosen in Grade Type. Here Grade Type means the grading scale, not the data collection’s grade type.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| School Count | The number of schools with results in the subject |
| Grade Count | The number of students entered for the qualification |
| Grade columns | The percentage or number of students at each grade. A levels: A*, A, B, C, D, E, U and X (no result). T Levels: D*, D, M, P, U, Q (result pending) and X |
| Average Points | The average points per student in the subject, to 2 decimal places |
| Value Added | The subject’s value added, to 2 decimal places |
Tables show percentages at first. Select Show Counts for numbers of students, or Show Cumulative for the ranges A* to A, A* to B and A* to C.
Student characteristic rows
Section titled “Student characteristic rows”The Pupil Characteristics Overview starts with a Summary row for every student. It then has a row for each gender, for Disadvantaged and Non Disadvantaged, and for SEN - S, SEN - E, SEN - K and SEN - N. Pupil Count (%) gives the number of eligible students in each group and their share of the cohort.
The labels say pupils, but every figure in these reports is for sixth form students.
Where the data comes from
Section titled “Where the data comes from”Each figure comes from the schools’ most recent publishes in Sisra Analytics for the chosen cohort, term and grade type.
Each school’s value added uses the national data year chosen on its KS5 Value Added page in Sisra, such as 2025 Revised. In Multi-School, select a data collection’s name in Data Collection Management to see it as Value Added Data Year. Juniper Education advises the same year for every school and every report in a cohort.
The DfE publishes its own level 3 value added after results, for 2024 to 2025 and for 2025 to 2026. Sisra’s value added for a current cohort uses an earlier year’s national data, so treat it as an internal estimate. Set up KS5 value added explains the choice of year.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”Juniper’s product documentation says Multi-School’s KS5 figures include every school that publishes, however recently it joined the trust. This guide could not check it in the product. The DfE’s trust measures methodology (March 2023) counts only schools in the trust for at least three academic years. This applies at 16 to 18 as at KS4. To compare like with like, use Filters to leave out schools that joined more recently.
Sixth form subjects are often small. A subject with 6 students in one school moves a long way with one grade, so read Grade Count before the percentages.
The DfE publishes no value added for T Level students, only an attainment measure for 2025 to 2026.
The reports show the trust, its schools and groups. They do not list individual students: use the school’s own Sisra Analytics for that.
